Building bright futures

BALFOUR BEATTY

As a responsible business, Balfour Beatty wanted to ensure they were bringing the maximum benefit to the communities where they operate. We brought their vision to life through developing a community engagement strategy that put community partnerships front and centre.

Balfour Beatty is a leading international infrastructure group, driving transformation to meet the challenges of the future.

We developed the company’s social impact approach, and community engagement projects in the areas of sports, health, and skills and training.

The context

Operating across the full infrastructure life cycle, Balfour Beatty provides leading construction and support services to deliver large, nationally critical complex infrastructure, through to local and regional projects right at the heart of local communities.

As a responsible business that puts social impact at the heart of its strategy, the company wanted to engage local communities to bring maximum benefit across areas like employability, wellbeing, and opportunities for young people.

What we did

We worked with Balfour Beatty to develop the company’s social impact approach, and community engagement projects and partnerships in the areas of sports, health, and skills and training.

Our work involved developing a social impact strategy, engaging internal and on-site teams across the business, and developing partnerships with not-for-profit organisations to support local community engagement activities.

Services: social impact strategy, community engagement strategy, impact narrative for bids and tenders, developing charitable and community partnerships.

Developing a social impact strategy for a leading infrastructure brand.
